8 Best Houseplants.

Like myself, you have likely also killed your fair share of houseplants too!  I used to think the only plant I was capable of growing was cactus.  They were basically self-sustaining just like cats.  They don't need the same amount of water, care or sunlight.  But then I was motivated after that to go a step further, and I am becoming more confident in my home gardening skills!  I have compiled a list of the top houseplants for beginners that anyone can care for below!

Small house plants that Brighten the house.

First off, by eliminating dangerous pollutants and toxins like formaldehyde, benzene, and carbon monoxide from the air, they can enhance air quality. Second, by discharging moisture into the atmosphere, they raise humidity levels. So they shield us from things like dry eyes, dry throats, and dry skin. Growing houseplants also has the potential to improve our mood and productivity while bringing some natural beauty and color to our desk and home and improving the décor. Last but not least, they encourage relaxation since taking care of plants may be a soothing and healing hobby that successfully lowers tension and anxiety. If you like to profit from the many advantages, here is a list of the finest houseplants for beginners:

1. Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata).

The snake plant is very easy to care for well as being an extremely tolerant plant to low light and sporadic watering (perfect for me!). If you want to grow a healthy snake plant, select a location that is bright, and has a lot of indirect sunlight. Water sparingly, only when the top describes of soil has dried out, and prune to keep the plant neat and healthy.

2. Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum).

Next in our review of best houseplants for inexperienced plant owners is the spider plant. The spider plant is a very resilient plant that can grow in various types of light and is ideal for improving air quality. It likes sun, so be sure to place it in a sunny location (indirect sunlight is the best) and water regularly, so the soil is evenly moist. Also, if you see brown or yellow leaves, just remove them to stimulate new growth.

3. Pothos (Epipremnum aureum).

The pothos plant is incredibly low maintenance and easy to care for, making it one of the very best houseplants for those without a green thumb. The pothos plant will grow with very low light and doesn't need to be watered frequently. You only need to water when the soil is dry to the touch, and don't overwater it. A great choice for decorating your indoor space!

4. ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia)ZZ plant.

I like the name. It's no wonder it's one of the best houseplants for beginners, it's tough and very easy to care for! The ZZ plant has glossy green leaves that will brighten a space. If you're looking for a low maintenance houseplant that will last for a long time and that's safe for pets, the ZZ plant is wonderful!

5. Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema commutatum).

One reason why it is considered one of the best houseplants for beginners is because the Chinese evergreen is a fantastic air purifier and very little care is required for it. In fact, it grows extremely well in low-light and can survive infrequently-watering. It has beautiful foliage and comes in many colors and patterns, which makes it another thoughtful addition to your home or office.

6. Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum).

If you want to add some nice greenery to your indoor space, then a peace lily might be a great option for you as they are both relatively easy to grow and have a range of conditions in which they perform well. In general, they like bright, indirect light, a well-draining potting mix and can be positioned in any room of your home. We would suggest that peace lilies are best for offices, bedrooms and any room where you spend time in because of their air-purifying properties.

7. Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis).

Commonly referred to as aloe vera One of the easiest houseplants for beginners is aloe vera! Not only is it easy to take care of, but it can help improve physical and mental health! Aloe vera has many species, but all require bright, indirect sunlight, and very little moisture to thrive.

8. The marginata, or dracaena.

One of the most popular houseplants for beginners, dracaenas are easy to care for and add a touch of tropical beauty to your room! They prefer moderate to high humidity levels and lower light levels, so it's a great choice for your home office, dining room or living room!
